Two days after his name surfaced in the Mitchell Report, Andy Pettitte yesterday admitted he used human growth hormone to bounce back from elbow trouble five years ago - and Hank Steinbrenner applauded Pettitte's admission. "He is still going to pitch for the Yankees next year and I support his decision to come forward, that's a good thing," the Yankees senior VP said. "Nothing has changed as far as him pitching for the Yankees."

What else are they going to do but support him? Their sense of smell is no different than that of the Giants or A's who have had plenty of juicing cheaters on the roster.

Gee Andy, I guess it's OK then. One question. Why didn't you say something before your name came out in this report? Admissions of guilt after you're caught with your hand in the cookie jar sound pretty thin.

Pettitte is not being entirely truthful here.

Can you drop the caps, please, Omaar--netiquette says you're shouting.

Your points, however, are well-taken.

He's got a point Omaar. I never read anything that's all caps.

December 16, 2007  12:53 PM ET

Oops, she's got a point.

How can you make the decision that is Andy took HGH, The Rocket definately did too? That logic makes no sense. I know they are close, but I'm sure they do things solo as well. Maybe Andy and Brian never even told Roger what Andy has done. I just read about Rogers trainer in Houston,Rohan Baichu, saying there was no way Clemens would do steroids, and he lived at Clemens ranch while Roger played in Houston. He was close to Roger than McNamee. He is a former trainer of the Rocket, and a friend too, only this guy isn't facing federal jail time for distribution. Show me some real proof!
