10:44 AM ET 08.28 | Teemu Selanne, 41, said Saturday his left knee, surgically repaired in his homeland in late June, will make the decision for him in the next couple of weeks, before Ducks training camp opens Sept. 16. But the good news for Ducks fans is that he has been doing everything he can - skating, working out and undergoing physical therapy on his knee - to try to delay his retirement one more year.

I'm terribly sorry but due to the extended wait for the Sunday threads I will not be available to post a comment today.

Well at least they got a new picture of him.

August 28, 2011  11:16 AM ET

Man unless he really needs the money why try one more year on a bad knee, the Ducks aren't headed anywhere.

The bad knee is supposed to be a good knee after the surgery...perhaps he likes playing hockey.

The NHL is nowhere to be enjoying playing hockey.

Hey Canuck. Be glad you're on the west coast as it looks like goodnite Irene is gonna drench the east.

Ain't no rules, ain't no vow, we can do it anyhow:
T & R will see you through,
'Cos everyday we pay the price with a daily sacrifice,
"Selanne" till the summer's through.

Selanne! -
To think that Selanne was a thing of the past;
Selanne!
And I hope Selanne's gonna last...

The videos were surreal. Would be good to see Selanne play a season out before retiring.
