11:26 AM ET 08.28 | Robby Gordon plans to start and park in all but three of the remaining Cup races unless he can get additional sponsorship, he said at Bristol Motor Speedway. Gordon said he planned to run the entire race at Chicago, Texas and Phoenix because he has enough sponsorship for those races. If he gets more sponsorship, he'll run more races.

O.K with me. That's what he did last night.

That's fine with me - the more S&Ps he puts up the less likely he is to wreck someone.

his cars are terrible anyway

Isn't it simply amazing with all that is going on with people on the bubble in the chase, Kermit a, that we get an article with such INSIGNIFICANCE as this?

He hasn't been anything other than bad for quite a while now and not even relevant on the road courses anymore.

Time to step aside Robby and let one of the young guns have a shot.

that shows you just how bad his equipment is..

Let him start and park. At least he's tried in the past to maintain an independent racing team that actually tries to race a whole race. He's also given us some pretty cool Nascar moments.

My favorite is when he was black flagged at a road race but refused to come off the track because he thought he'd been done wrong by Nascar (and he finished first). Robby doing burnouts after the race along with Harvick (the actual winner) was just awesome.

One of my favorites is when he parked his car on the backstretch at NH after getting dumped by Mike Waltrip (I think) and got out of his car, waited for Waltrip to come around under yellow and tossed his helmet at Mikey's car.

Now this is what you call a loser ''in Nascar '' off road not so bad,, he should start and park all the races, he'd make more money.

I though he always start & parked? Time to sell his team or get a younger driver like Michael Waltrip did. Sell the Number 7 to Danica/Stewart-Haas.

August 28, 2011  09:26 PM ET

I don't think the problem is the driver. The problem is to be competitive, you need money on the level that he does not have. Putting a younger driver in the car would just make it a underfunded team with a younger driver.

He might want to look into parking cars in the parking lot at the races. He wouldn't have to start, just park.
