of course it showed cheating in the playoffs. its much easier on the league image if they just have to fine belicheat and the patriots for that one game, than to figure out what to do with the tainted playoff and superbowl wins.

To think the Pats have been the ONLY team to ever do this is silly. It happens in all sports, take a look a baseball for example. The calls are easy to see and everyone tries to get them, period.

Put this silly story to rest. Jets have already stated that they taped stuff too; they say they didn't tape the calls... No they did, they won't admit it though, but why would they? Don't even try to tell me they used their morals then!

Let me guess, Cowboys or Colts fan?

By destroying the evidence the NFL managed to keep them from becoming public. Possibly saving the season from falling into Chaos and becoming controversial. Most likely, some tape would show other team doing the same thing.
What about the Jets 'asking permission' to film from areas other than their designated ones. Who knows what they caught on the cam. However we just have to take the team's admission that they were not filming the signals. This whole thing is a big joke, and should just go away, except for the NFL to keep control and monitor every team for sign of cheating.

Its the smartest thing they could do - destroy them. If the tapes existed still, the press would want them released and you would hear about it every day until the NFL did so. Then they would then disect them one by one in the context of 'this blowout' or this 'close win'. Someone would come up with a number of games that were decided by using this information, another would make a split of the PAts record when they did have a tape on the opponent and when they did not. Regardless of reality, with a small sample size one could make a case easily that the tapes helped them win ..or not win but guess which version would get press?

Either way if you think their is speculation now, there would be 10 times more if the tapes still existed, which would, in the end, be not good for the NFL.

STOP! Nobody cares! IT's December! EVery game we see from now on just about, will have playoff implications! This si the best part! I dont want to hear any more **** about the **** cameras!

No offense to most cowboy or colts fans especially you and JC and Mike etc its just typically when someone makes a "rant" like that, its a colts or cowboys bandwagoner fan.. just like when someone makes a stupid comment about the colts or the cowboys, its usually a Pats bandwagoner..

Do we care so much? Not enough to leave the site. It is no worse than the c-rap on the front pages or news pages. I come here to escape the usual news and I DO get to voice my own weak minded opinions and spout off a little and exchange friendly spears with like minded sport fans. It is not that bad. COuld we collectively support some deepminded Xs and Os? most likely not. THis is still ok by me.

No worries, like you I don't care for the bandwagoners (sp). I am careful in what I say 'cause when they (insert your team here) lose it really bums me out and I don't need some fairweather fan to pile on when they are not so deeply invested.
