The most explosive player in college football

08:20 AM ET 08.29 | One of the fun parts about this time of year is the lists of players and coaches on hot seats, in position battles, rising or falling, and, in this case, among the "most explosive players." 1. QB Denard Robinson, Michigan, Jr. ... Robinson is like a time bomb: Sooner or later, he's going to explode. Each time Robinson tucks the football, opposing fans hold their breath because he always seems one step away from making a big play. Last season, his first as a full-time starter in former coach Rich Rodriguez's spread offense, Robinson had 16 runs that covered at least 20 yards and seven that exceeded 30 yards. He had at least one 20-yard gain in nine of the Wolverines' 13 games last season.

Most explosive? I don't know... Are there any Al Qaeda operatives playing FBS football this year?

If Chris Rainey stays away from drunk texting, then he might have a shot.

He wasn't defused in the Bowl game last year, check his stats, he had a decent game!! Also my friend Mississippi State is not "a superior SEC team", they were a good team last year, but far from superior!!!

Before the Meatchicken folks come on here and start talking smack...2,837 days since they last beat Ohio State in football.

If explosive equates speed then it might be close between Demps and Robinson... it's hard to stay fast though when you get knocked around so much as a QB. Go Buckeyes!

Shoelace will not have as many yards rushing this year..... well that is the plan they are hoping for this season.

fixed

Not as elusive, and Rainey is almost as fast as Demps. Plus Rainey will not be at slot WR like the start of last year.

Before your SEC chest sticks out any further. His **** was kicked by virtually every big ten team he played. His gaudy Rich Rod numbers came against UMass, Conn, Bowling Green, Notre Dame and then Indiana.. After running all over Indiana (2nd worse D in league) in the Big Ten opener he got pummeled by Michigan St (3 ints) 86 yd srushing on 23 atts. Third B 10 game Iowa and they knocked him out of the game in 2nd quarter. He was very "human" from there on out. He did not run around on the Big Ten. He will fade into oblivion this year now that the one trick pony (RR) is out of the B10.

you are correct Timer. The more accurate statement is that the Michigan defense was b1t<h slapped by an avg SEC offense. That was why Meatchicken lost and that is why RR got fired. Michigan's D was pathetic.
