08:30 AM ET 08.30 | Prepare the all-he-does-is-catch-touchdowns expectations for Duron Carter. Carter's arrival at Alabama is anticipated to increase depth at the receiver position while potentially adding a playmaker to help soften the blow of losing Julio Jones, now with the Atlanta Falcons. The 6-foot-4, 210-pounder comes to Alabama via Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College where he caught 44 passes for 690 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. He previously played at Ohio State where his father was a star wide receiver. Kent State is Alabama's first opponent Saturday, and Golden Flashes head coach Darrell Hazell worked with the younger Carter when he was an assistant at Ohio State. "He's a special talent," Hazell said.

Back to the topic...

Better learn to block down field. Don't think Bama wants to throw it much.

With the 20 or so decent games on the slate for this week they focus on this steaming pile of a game?

A tOSU player at Bama, got to work on getting that SEC speed. Is he any good JK?

Every time I will see him in the future I will remember the following. He could not make it at Ohio State academically. He caught like 20 passes as a true frosh 2 years ago and then was suspended for the Rose Bowl because he forgot where his classrooms were located. He was ineligible for Spring ball that year and flunked out of the University. His father HOF, Ohio State star, FOX analyst, Chris Carter was embarrased. Duron swore he would do whatever it took to get back in good with Ohio St and that he would return. Last yr he goes to Coffeyville KS Community College where daddy knew the football coach and which has produced several D1 stars over the yrs.
He does well on the football field but when he applied to get back in Ohio St this past Spring he was academically rejected by the University. What does that say about the academics at Alabama Community College?
