Casey Mears could be the breakout driver of 2008 as he moves to the No. 5 team at Hendrick. If he hadn't gotten off to such a poor start, he might have made the Chase this year.Roush Fenway teammates Greg Biffle and Jamie McMurray stand to benefit from the fact their teams will be ready to compete with the car of tomorrow from the first week of the season. Biffle's looking to return to the form he showed while contending for a title two years ago, and McMurray wants to fulfill the promise he showed as his Cup career got rolling.

I will root for Casey. He is a nice guy and sure does have some family history in racing. I think the break out driver will be Sauter though (provided given a decent ride)

I root for Casey, too. I have to admit, though, I was hoping he wouldn't win the Coke 600 last year. I was pulling for the guy in 3rd. I REALLY want to see Kyle Petty win a race.....

I can't think of another driver in NASCAR who I'd like to see win more races than Casey Mears. He's a hard working, polite guy who obviously has the genes to win and win big. But Casey is his own man who has the natural tools to win and truly appreciate winning. I look forward to seeing him in the winners' circle in 2008 (and Jr as well).
