Mizzou to SEC, too?

If the Big 12 suffers more crucial losses -- Texas and/or Oklahoma -- it almost surely is doomed. And its demise could trigger what one BCS conference insider called "the tidal wave" that may not ebb until there are four 16-team super-conferences -- a structure befitting a football playoff. ... Missouri touches three SEC states and would add nice markets in St. Louis and Kansas City for TV purposes. But despite stray conjectures by some that the SEC wants Mizzou or vice versa, there is little to support the connection. A person familiar with conference expansion talks said MU has hardly been mentioned by the SEC.

OU would seem like a much better candidate if they are looking west. I would imagine the SEC would want to look east though.

If that ends up as the case and the SEC does want to go west Missouri does make sense, barring Texas wanting in of course.

Arky was known as the red-headed step child because they were the only non-Texas school in the old SWC.
