08:01 AM ET 09.02 | Garrett Hartley became Saints hero of sorts when his right foot put New Orleans into Super Bowl XLIV with an overtime kick and then set a record by nailing three field goals of more than 40 yards. [Now, Hartley] will be out at least six weeks and possibly as many as 10, according to a league source. Hartley suffered a hip flexor while converting an extra point in the Saints' 40-20 victory over Oakland last Sunday. ... [Four] days later he was having difficulty walking and his entire right side was black-and-blue, a league source said. The injury will not require surgery, and hopefully Hartley would be able to return in 6 to 8 weeks. But the source said it is possible the kicker will be out from between 8 to 10 weeks.

Should be lots of kickers available this week after the cuts. Probably even see some right below the facelift bar later today.

She disappeared, I put her back, and she disappeared again. I don't know if the mods are being playful, or I'm being punished for my imaginative spelling of Connecticut, with an extra 'n' near the end of the word.
I'll sneak her into the dorm later on, once the regular season starts and the guards have gone to sleep.

Friggin' awful.
Bring Raynor in because "we've liked him a long time" and he looked like Vandershank.
Hell - just keep Bueller and move on.

Bring in George Blanda. He can kick and quarterback. Oh, yeah, he's dead.
How about Tom Tupa? He's a QB and punter, but probably can do place kicking in a pinch. No? OK, Blanda it is.

At least Bill Gramatica tore his ACL by jumping after making a field goal...this guy only made an extra point with no further physical exertion and he gets a hip flexor? Wow kickers are getting soft these days....
