09:27 AM ET 09.03 | Tomorrow is cut-down day, but the Patriots are still considering adding a player. A big one. The Patriots are set to visit with former Cowboys center Andre Gurode, I???m told. The ex-Pro Bowler was released by Dallas in a bit of a surprise move on Aug. 29. At 32-years-old and set to make $5.5 million in 2011, Gurode was considered expendable by the Cowboys. With the Patriots facing some depth issues on the interior of their offensive line, perhaps the 6-foot-4, 318-pounder will help. The Patriots will need to check him out, considering he had knee surgery in the offseason.

Everyone is expendable....Unless you're a franchise QB...

Still hard to look at pictures of Unitas in a Chargers uni, or Montana in a KC one.

Not a Pat's fan but that would be a decent signing.

Two Cowboys threads today? I'm going to be peeved if there aren't any Notre Dame threads on the CFB boards.

Now that we've hit the regular season, FN is in mid-season form.

September 3, 2011  10:09 AM ET

That must make the center on New England feel really secure about his job.

No.

One is a former Cowboys and the other may be on his way down the road if he doesn't start paying his ticket fines.
