10:29 AM ET 09.03 | With Friday's announcement that owner Arthur Blank, 68, and his wife Stephanie are separating after 16 years of marriage, followers of the Falcons can't help but wonder if the marital discord that's wreaked havoc on one of baseball's preeminent franchises will repeat with Atlanta's NFL team. The separation will have "no impact" on the Home Depot founder's business interests, according to a statement released Friday by the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. Even if a divorce is pursued, a leading family law attorney said he expects a quiet split.

I can't speak for his personal life, but I do know firsthand that when he and Bernie ran Home Depot it was a pretty decent place to work. When Nardelli came in it went directly into the dumpster. Of course, Nardelli was the poster child for "All about me" CEO's, so that's probably not too surprising.

Exactly my thought as I read this story.
It's an aging Trophy Wife episode, she's getting traded in, probably for a younger model, and will probably get a decent financial settlement per the Pre-Nup.
Cannot imagine Blank didn't have a strong legal team draw up that Pre-Nup given what he's worth.

I never made the connection between him and home depot. Home depot aint doing that great either. SO he's getting hosed in a few different ways right now. Can I guess, I bet his wife is much younger and quite the looker too. Gosh I'm shocked.
