If you are an Eagles fan, you have to hope Andy Reid does not repeat the same mistake he made in 2007 when he went into the regular season without an experienced punt returner. ... They need to find someone who has experience fielding punts -- unless they want to put DeSean Jackson in that position which is unlikely. On Saturday, the Eagles cut all three punt returners as they trimmed their roster to 53. They waived Sinorice Moss, Chad Hall and Johnnie Lee Higgins and left themselves naked at that position one week before the opener. All three had their chances in the pre-season and none stepped up to claim the job.

that rule needs to be changed! Either change it back to the 30 or just start them at the 20. KR are a huge part of the game, momentum changers.
I respect the NFL for trying to make the game safer, but COME ON! You already changed the rules to make it all offense, might as well let the cheerleaders play too. (wait they already have that league:)

Yeah, the title says "kick returner" but the article says "punt returner." The new rule guarantees 8 straight minutes of commercials with a touchback in the middle. Whoopee. The interns can probably tell you the details of every latte on the Starbucks menu, but telling the difference between a kickoff and a punt? No so much.

Nope. Why risk injuries when most kickoff returns this preseason ended up between the 15 and 25 yard lines. The odds of a kicker even kicking the ball out of bounds will go down remarkably. Hopefully this will be a one season experimentation.
