06:31 AM ET 09.06 | The cast is off his wrist and the splint that followed will be removed soon. When it is, it will be all systems go for the Blackhawks' Patrick Kane. The winger said Monday he's "a little ahead of schedule" in his recovery from July 19 surgery on his left wrist and hopes to play in up to four of the team's exhibition games.

Another guy who waited till the middle of summer to get his surgery instead of getting it done right after his team got booted from the playoffs...

It doesn't work like that...the Dr. has his own schedule...he does not adhere to the patients...and booted?
Just barely.

Should be buying his sweaters in the Sears Boys department.

I just don't picture Kane following a schedule, let alone being ahead on one.

He was too busy getting drunk and looking for cabbies to choke earlier in the summer. Give the punk a break, will ya?

I hate it when they switch around the stories and you think you've got a new one, when you don't...Such is the mindless hunger of the off-season Hockey junkie.

Booted, eliminated, kicked out, defeated, beaten, knocked out, pushed out, squeezed out, ran out, exited, whatever. They still lost their first series back in April and he waited till the middle of July to get the surgery done. hard to believe his doc had a three-month backlog of surgeries or couldn't find him a spot somewhere in his schedule.

What a **** that Kane girl is, that skirt is too short!

Other real news: Winnipeg finally unveils it's pedestrian jerseys. Vancouver blames the NHL for the riots. There's a presser scheduled for tomorrow for Crosby to announce his retirement. ...bah, I can't keep a straight face on that one. There is, however, a presser planned for Sid to speak to the press, so let the speculation pour about what he'll say.

"its"--it's tough being an English major sometimes...and not just money-wise!!!
