Win doesn't cinch coach's return

Despite Sunday's win and the prospects of a winless season behind him, Dolphins coach Cam Cameron said owner H. Wayne Huizenga has not yet confirmed that the rookie coach will be back next season.

because he wants to sell, and the new owner will likely fire him...

Report Offensive CommentCam didn't have much to begin with b/c of the previous coaching. It takes several years for a guy to build something a team and a system. I don't know how good of a coach he is but it takes more than a year to build it. All that being said, the Dolphins will probably let him go.

Report Offensive Commentwhat? this is so wrong, what team wouldn't keep their coach that wins 8% of his yearly games. miami is really missing on something special here..

Report Offensive CommentI am sure they will let him go, to then go ahead an hire another rookie coach. Huizenga is all about making the right decisions.

Report Offensive CommentThey should give Cam another seaon....the personal decisions made by the Fins' higher ups this year were bogus. Fom not drafting Brady Quinn, signing Trent Green (what he he like 55 years old), trading Chris Chambers, tradin Wes Welker. And the injuries to Ronnie Brown & Ricky Williams (well, this sort of counts).
Point being, this team was doomed from the start....I am really surprised they have 1 win.

Report Offensive CommentHa ha. Of COURSE they won't re-hire him. They wone one game (on extreme luck, no less) and they act like it's the frickin' Super Bowl.

Report Offensive CommentIf you beat the Patriots Sunday, you won't have to call the moving company.I'd make a reservation though.

Report Offensive CommentFins beat the Pats???? You really think so?
I *maybe* would have considered it a possibility if the Fins were still winless...but since they won last week, the pressure is off and I see a let-down (like what happen to the Ravens after the Pats game)....when a team treats a game as 'their Superbowl', they tend to mail it in afterwards.

If you remember correctly on MNF game they counted out the dolphins beating the patriots on that day and look what they did on MNF they won and beat them clearly. They are going to do the same thing this sunday when it matters more to them now.

Report Offensive CommentWhy the hell would one frickin win guarantee you coming back? I know everybody was happy they won a game, but now that it's Tuesday let's put it into perspective. One win that assures you won't go winless isn't much to celebrate. Hell if they win out they'll be 3-13 which is still pretty damn embarrassing.

Report Offensive CommentI'll bet any amount of money the Fins upset the Pats. Contact me and we'll set the deal up.

Report Offensive CommentI'm a Phins Phan to a Phault (like that one?) and I can't see how anyone can realistically think the Dolphins will win. The numbers are scary against this year. With that said, the Phins usually beat the Pats at least once during the year, have since like 2000, so it'll be a good game. But there is no one in our secondary that can handle Moss. When they start to double him, Welker will eat our shabby linebackers for lunch. D-Line gets little pressure, and when Brady has more than 2 seconds to through the ball, the news is never good for the opposing team. Pats by 15, but it's close until the third. Moss has 180 yds and two TDs, Brady throws for 400 yds. I love you Phins, get Cam outta here. Get Shottenhiemer.

Report Offensive CommentGet him out of there, plain and simple, anything that lingers on from this season needs to be taken out with the trash. I like Cam, but he simply didn't get anything done, ya he had injuries, ya he had no QB ready, but all teams go through that stuff

Report Offensive Commenthmmm Parcells or Cowher are the most likely coaches, Cam is gonna become offensive coordinator, and the dolphins get Colt Brennan first round and sign Asante Samuel from the Pats,a nd maybe Haynesbrowth from the Titans and Sanders from the Colts. If they sign this they wont have to worry about the defense at all (duh) the offense running wise is gonna be moving but passing they need somebody like Colt. 15 or might as well draft Dorsey the best player in the draft!
