08:26 AM ET 09.07 | Even if television work is in his near future, Marty Turco isn't ready to put on the coat and tie for the cameras every day just yet. [Turco] hasn't signed with a new team but isn't ready to retire. "Yeah, I'm still looking," the 36-year-old Turco said via phone on Monday. "Teams go to camp next week so we'll see." Turco's hopes probably reside on a training camp injury or underwhelming performance either by a rookie or other veteran. "I want to play some more," Turco said. "I still think I can play in this league. I'm not ready for plans after hockey just yet." Turco signed a one-year deal with the Blackhawks last offseason after a decade of mostly stellar work with the Dallas Stars.

Question remains....is he better than Mike Milbury and Pierre McGuire? I know that should be an easy task for just about anyone....but you never know, someone might find that "anti-diamond" in the rough, who's actually worse than the two of them....

If Versus wants him to replace Pierre McGuire, he can't retire quickly enough.

You couldn't find anyone worse than those two anymore than Hef could find an old, ugly playmate.

Hef is my hero.

Gee...that's a nice looking sweater there Marty...by the way, what do you think of the BRAND NEW JETS SWEATERS THAT WERE IN ALL THE NEWS...(yet not here oddly enough) YESTERDAY?

I like the new logo and colours...sorry Marty...your story is well, just old.

No, no, no! McGuire on Versus and NBC is exactly were we want him.

No more Double Dions and Monsters for Canada. yeah baby. :-)

Re: Marty. He's pretty quiet and soft-spoken (almost shy) when behind the desk...He's not bad. A bit awkward.

I hope he has a couple more years in goal. There are teams that don't know they need him - But, believe me, they need him.

Re: Jets' jerseys. Fugly. Generic. Shoulda gone with (Canadian Maple Leaf) RED...Not, Dark Blue; so dark it looks like black. Meh...What do I care?

Jets' fans (and Canadians in general) are getting overy defensive (already) about this.

Like it's some kind of unpatriotic statement to dislike these FUGLY jerseys...

Did I mention the Jets' jerseys are FUGLY!!! Yeah. Well, they're fugly as sin. They look dingey, right out of the box.

I'm guessing you looked pretty dingey right out of, 'the box' too Ice...and Fugly.

I'd much rather the Blues had him as a backup than Brian Elliott.

LOL!!! I was a gorgeous baby...Who grew into a scarred and fugly old guy. Quite the reverse, actually. ;)

That should not be too hard. My 2 dogs are better than these two and especially Emerich! Eddie Olczyk is the only reason I don't mute the sound during NHL on NBC...

Kind of hokey.

You did and I concur.

I despise that Pierre guy

No way bro. Elliott can play very well sporadically. Turco showed last year, that he is done. He couldn't even back up Crawford reliably.

BahDummmm-Tsssssssss.

My bad. *overly* - Didn't mean to disrespect the Canadian women's reproductive systems. They're just fine, as I recall. ;)

Well, they are kinda bland for sure. Tho, it seems that the players could get on any Canadian Air Force base with ease ;) And, couldn't they come up with a unique logo without having to borrow so heavily from the AF logo?

Ask the Hawks how Turco worked out for them last year...
