Alex Legion spent Monday checking out Illinois, but the former Kentucky basketball player isn't done with his Midwest tour. Legion said he would visit Notre Dame on Wednesday and might not pick his new school for another week. "I'm not going to rush it," Legion said from Champaign. "I'll probably decide before the new year." The 6-foot-4-inch guard, considered a Top 50 recruit in the Class of '07, is leaving Kentucky after one semester, having decided he didn't want to play for coach Billy Gillispie.

A burger flipper in the making.

No joke just b/c your coach wants you to work hard and earn a spot. What a lazy bum

I am sure this kid ran the show in high school and probably AAU ball and didn't know how to handle being just an player. I hope he chooses a school where he thinks he can be an immediate star, goes there, and we never hear from him again.

It's all about me.

Should have stayed with his original declaration at Michigan and he could have been an immediate star.

bhelton82... Is that an Appalachian State logo? When's the championship football game?

Hated to see him go, wish him all the luck in the world as long as he's not playing against UK. Go Big Blue!

Billy has been successful everywhere he has coached but he asks his players to work hard and play defense. Apparently Legion justs wants to play O and head for the NBA. Too bad, he could have been great now he'll be "didn't you used to be Alex Legion"

This kid should have stayed at Kentucky and played hard for Gillispie. The coach is excellent, and if kids play hard, they'll win.

I bet you he's too lazy to go to a great school because he knows he'll have to work and I agree with bhelton

so how much sense does this make, actually? if the kid's just flat-out lazy i can respect that...well, ok, not really. if this is over having to work harder than you think you should to get the playing time you think you deserve then perhaps someone should've told him he needs to also work on his maturity. if this is solely about playing time then it REALLY doesn't make sense seeing as to how he's gotta sit out for a whole year once he transfers. i guess he thinks he's better than patterson, or whoever he's jealous of on the team. perhaps he doesn't like to work for playing time. i guess he's overrating himself. screw it. legion? grow up, son. lmao, whitehat, but i think we're seeing the REAL legion now.
