Thats tough, he was havin a damn good year too

The Raiders need to run Rhodes into the ground and get SOME kind of return on the money they're paying him. I don't know why they signed him in the first place.

December 18, 2007  10:44 AM ET

The Raiders SHOULD have not signed Rhodes, cut Jordan and drafted AP to rotate with Fargas

Pepper has been just fine, better than McCown

December 18, 2007  10:45 AM ET

Kiffin has been pulling a Petrino with the freakin QB's this year

Culpepper and McCown have been sharing time despite Pepper being obviously better QB

Pepper in 7 games: 58.1%, 1331 yards, 5 TD's, 5 INT's, 7.2 yards per attempt, 60 1st downs, 21 sacks, 78 QB Rating

McCown 8 games: 57.7%, 1105 yards, 10 TD's, 11 INT's, 6.1 per attempt, 53 1st downs, 12 sacks, 68.6 QB Rating

It had to be tough for Rhodes to play the Colts on Sunday. I'm sure he wishes he was still in Indy splitting carries with Addai.

December 18, 2007  09:27 PM ET

I'm thinking someone on that practice squad is getting his "call-up" for Sunday?

Michael Bush, if that's who you're speaking of, is on IR

I don't get Al Davis..."Just Win Baby". How about just own baby. And let the coach, coach. Let the right people make the decisions on how to build the team. If he would do that, then he could secure a serious coach, instead of the how many we've had over the years. Let's not forget or would-be long term coaches that now coach at Tampa Bay and Denver.

Anyways, I like Fargas (Go SC!) and am glad he had a good year. Too bad he's got hurt. Now our high-dollar RBs get to split time and still only gain about 80 yards.

fargas is good. but rhodes is too.

The Raiders should just throw Russell in there while they're at it. They didn't play him in Green Bay because it was too cold (he looked like Kenny from South Park on the sidelines all bundled up) and they put him in for three series against the Colts. What the hell! How much are they paying this guy? Stop coddling him like he's some piece of delicate, 265lb. piece of china and let him get his baptism by fire.

Most people know that you aren't SUPPOSED to USE the expensive China...

Fargas had a great year and impressed me.He never gave up and kept running through defenders with a never say die attitude. Now is the time to see if the rest of the backfield is worth keeping.Kiffen should play J-Rock and let him let some experience before next season,so he knows what's needed to be worked on. Wise up Kiffen and let the rook play!

To the Raiders: "Merry Christmas"

Great year Fargas... At least one #25 had a good year!

December 20, 2007  04:15 PM ET

Watching Justin Fargas picking up chunks of yardage at a time was nice to see this year. I just don't know why it took this long for him to move into the starting position. We should have never brought in LaMont Jordan. Fargas could have been doing this for three years by now. We signed Rhodes to come in and produce but he himself F'd that up by getting suspended for the first 4 games. While he was out LaMont was one of the top rushers in the league and when Justin got his opportunity he took it and never let go.

December 20, 2007  05:18 PM ET

Rhodes was already suspended for those 4 games when we signed him. LaMont has been a bust as a Raider certifiably. Now I'd like to see Rhodes play and maybe show us something.

December 20, 2007  05:30 PM ET

No he was not already suspended when we signed him. Nobody signs a guy to a 2 yr 7 million dollar contract knowing that he will be out the first four games. Not even the Raiders.

Technically, you're correct bigrock, but he was pulled over for the DUI in February, and we signed him in March.
