Latest concussion concerns Morneau

For about a 3 year or so stretch he was a monster. Really kicked the Tigers' ass too.

morneau, this guy just run through bad luck with those type of concussion, injuries can really smoke any body's life, between morneau, and mauer, this two players drag the team down!!

"Glass Joe" Mauer is about done. He's going to be a vegetable in his later years if he keeps getting concussions like this.

That's why MLB needs to change the helmets. the current ones are only rated up to 78 MPH. Who throws 78? That's off speed stuff. If the NFL is changing for the safety of the players, MLB should too.

Everyone needs to stop saying that. He's not soft, he has bad knees which is common for catchers.

Lets face it, Morneau's concussions arent going away. We need to move Mauer to 1b full time, and find a decent replacement. Morneau's got 1 year to prove he isnt Richard Simmons (crazy).

changing the helmet would not have prevented this concussion ...

and batters wouldn't be in danger if pitchers would stop throwing at their heads ... :o

It's not a good sign when you need to write "latest" before "concussion". I'm sure someone will invent protection so the softy heads can play.

This is incredibly frustrating -- both for the Twins and Morneau -- both are very, very classy. Life's not fair when you're a mid-sized market. Johnny 2 Tone is right about the helmets ... time for a change.

I'm not worried. Once Mauer knows he needs to produce like a $100M man, he'll start hitting the ball like he did 2 years ago. 30Hrs isnt out of the question.

mauer's gonna hit. i'm not worried about that. but i fear morneau is done and that sucks. he seems like a good guy.
