Fingers pointing at Haley

08:00 AM ET 09.12 | Not much optimism was running around Sunday after the Chiefs were run out of their own building by the Bills. And there wasn't a danged thing positive about it until the postgame news conference. "I'm taking 100 percent responsibility for our team not being ready to go," head coach Todd Haley said. "OK? You can point the finger right at Todd Haley. OK? I'm taking 100 percent responsibility." This epic failure wasn't entirely Haley's fault, of course. Dexter McCluster fumbled the opening kickoff. Matt Cassel averaged about 3 yards per pass. ... A loss like Sunday's is exactly the kind of defeat that can turn into two losses, three losses or even a lost season.

When you get manhandled at home by Buffalo, all signs are pointing south.

I think Luke pulls for the Falcons....

Gotta give him credit though, he's not whining about them scoring points this time.

This guy sure does a lot of finger pointing.. At least its at himself ... this time. That ish is gonna get old real quick though.

I figured KC would regress this year because of a tougher schedule, but Buffalo? Really?

September 12, 2011  08:30 AM ET

Looks like he got smaked on the face by a wet John Thomas.

September 12, 2011  08:40 AM ET

They had Fitzpatrick looking like an Elite QB. Is Harvard gonna start breeding football players too?

September 12, 2011  08:44 AM ET

Do like the politicians do, Todd. Blame it on high gas prices and the tsunami in Japan. And boy-meets-boy marriages and illegal immigrants aren't helping your team either, are they?

Crybaby. You lost. Badly. To Buffalo.

Buffalo is a border city, too. They shoulda checked the Bills' passports at the airport. Probably a lot of illegal Canadians on the roster. I mean, we're talkin' Buffalo ... who'd notice?

KC is a bad football team.

Nothing new revealed here...

You have to blame a lot of that on the coach, though. He basically wasted the pre-season, and doesn't seem like he has a plan even now. Sure... it's his fault. Admitting it was a big step. But what's he going to do differently?

Airport? We're talkin' Cheap Ralph here. Bus terminal.

I like to amuse myself imagining a banged-up ol' prop plane, like in Major League.

It's gonna be a long year for KC this year.

A closer look at who they beat last year tells you they were pretty good cripple shooters.
always makes you think you are better than you are. A .500 team is what they are. that playoff beatings was telling, and Cassell is ordinary.

Good way to put it. They ran up almost all of their wins against teams with losing records. It's not hard for an average team to look like superstars in the AFC West.

22 completions for 119 yards... yuck.
