After 69 points, Oregon could be better

08:13 AM ET 09.12 | Apparently, scoring nearly seventy points wasn't message enough. The No. 13 Oregon Ducks might have picked up their first win of the 2011 season on Saturday with a 69-20 thrashing of Nevada but Chip Kelly says this team isn't anywhere close to where it needs to be. "We can still play better," Kelly said Sunday night on his weekly conference call with reporters. "When you win you're never as good as you thought you were and when you lose you're never as bad as you thought you were ... it's always somewhere in the middle. I'm watching guys grow up a little. The good thing is, our guys aren't making the same mistakes twice."

they are totally going to win the NC this year guys. I can feel it.

Nevada lost the best QB its ever had and a lot of other decent kids. In 2012 they will be semi-decent, but if you base a return to elite status off running them you may be in for a very rude surprise when you play USC, Stanford, or ASU.

What a <hit article!!! Oregon is not half as good as they were last year, in fact both Auburn and the Ducks aren't anywhere near as good this year.

Yep, but until they do it against a top 10 team from a power conference, it will be mest w/ a grain of salt anywhere except on the left coast (and doing it to Stanford doesn't count, either).

They trying to keep OT in their corner. Who said Nevada was going to be a big test for them?? Not!!! Boise has no one on their schedule, jeez, talking about the best cakewalk in the nation!!

Hey now, I never said Oregon was going to be that good this year, in fact both the Ducks and Aurburn are not the same this year!!!

WPS, you don't consider Stanford a good team from a power conference????

Yes you did, even had a duck as an avi and said they were doing on the Tigers, yep, you did.

You do know that I was having some fun with my avi and joking, don't you. I never said that Oregon was going to go undefeated this year.
