Instead, at least through one whole game, Harbaugh's offense turned proudly blue-collar, relied on its defense for field position, and produced a decidedly grunge-y performance. Well that's what they said after the final preseason game. The 49ers would not have had to reveal their whole offensive arsenal if they had only scored TD's instead of FG's when they got the ball handed to them in the Red Zone. Prove to the fans that this team is capable of scoring a passing TD.

They played the Seahawks. It's not as if they had the Packers offense pinned back all day. Seattle went backwards in the offseason. See Tavaris for an example
