Reyes still unsure about hamstring

08:12 AM ET 09.14 | At this point, Jose Reyes is only hoping he'll get back to feeling like himself by the end of the season. [Reyes] had three more hits last night and scored the Mets' first run in a 3-2 loss to the Nationals at Citi Field, but he still has just one stolen base since returning from the disabled list on Aug. 29 -- and he hasn't tripled since July 21. Reyes admitted his lack of aggression on the basepaths is because he still is unsure of the left hamstring that has landed him on the DL twice this season. "It's not the same," Reyes said after the Mets dropped their fourth straight game and sixth in seven. "Earlier in the season I was healthy. I feel like my leg is not quite there yet. It's not where it needs to be."

If he doesn't come with a spare set of hammies, I wouldn't give the guy more than 3 years. But some idiot GM will.

He'd make a good mid season pick up for next season.

Yeah, not sure if he's worth $100M. When he's healthy yes but with his leg injuries that's an expensive risk.
Better question is where will he end up assuming the Mets dont sign him?

You're right, I haven't but what my intent was here, if he's been cleared to play and it's matter of Reyes not feeling confident about staying healthy, then wrap it up. Maybe that doesn't prevent him from pulling it again?

He is overvalued. He is a free swinger who remained disciplined in a contract year. I wouldn't expect that to last.

His Agent would be best served to get in front of that Microphone before Jose opens his mouth.

It may to some degree, but everybody knows what he can do when he is healthy. It's just going to take time for him to be confident again I guess.

If he can't sprint to first base...you must negate his "paper" weight.
