08:33 AM ET 09.15 | If they booed Santa Claus, imagine the reception Jeremy Roenick now risks from fans in Philly. Roenick appears on the debut episode of a show called "Master Debaters," hosted by comedian Jay Mohr, tonight on FUEL TV (10:30 p.m.) and takes his shot at Philly fans during a debate segment on the most annoying fans in sports. ... JR goes to the booing of Santa Claus right away and then comes with this, "Do you remember when Tie Domi of the Maple Leafs was playing the Flyers and he was in the penalty box and that Philadelphia fan dove through the glass into the penalty box after the guy ... That is messed up fans. Philadelphia fans are crazy, crazy sons of ..."

Roenick is wee bit screwy. A big mouth and too little judgment apparently. He fits right in with Milbury and MacGuire as wastes of air time. Of course, that's just my opinion. Philly fans can take care of themselves. They don't need me to help 'em. Anybody can go to a city with a passionate fan base and pick out incidents of goofiness. Itr's tough to find good announcers though. Personally, I like Keith Jones best of the current crew.

Uh, why would we be insulted by that? JR is just saying what we say ourselves all the time. That is our badge of courage that we wear on our sleeve. Why would we be upset at JR for saying what everyone knows to be the truth?
Now let me say that there are folks who take that way too far, but most of that occurs over at Lincoln Financial Field. There is a reason the Vet had a courtroom and a lock up in the basement but the spectrum didn't. Don't confuse dumbass football fanatics with die hard Flyers fans. Huge difference.

He was leaning over the glass trying to put hands on Domi when he went over. I would argue that in his alcohol fueled dumbassery that he did in point of fact want to be there.
Then Domi put hands on him and he changed his mind.

I know Philly had the 1st sports stadium with a holding cell in it,
that says alot right there. A lot of teams more "rabid" fans are guilty of "dumbassery" (my new favourite word...thank you) From my own live experience...Yankee bleachers, Rangers blue seats are right up there in the stupid department. But Philly does seem to have a special "class". There was an incident once where a guy fell from one deck to another. When he got up (seemingly ok) he was booed. They cheer when guys get hurt.

Once again let me clarify that 99.9% of that type of thing happens over at the football stadium. There is no holding cell at the Weels Fargo Center.
The fan vs Tie Domi cluster-eff was really the only egregious violation on the part of a fan in the Flyers recent history.
