08:23 AM ET 09.16 | Gene Chizik's praise of Barrett Trotter goes beyond the numbers, which, after five touchdown passes, are very respectable on their own. "Barrett is exactly what we envisioned him to be," Chizik said. "When we made the decision that he was the starting quarterback, I said he was poised and he was confident." Chizik said Trotter proved that after throwing a costly interception in last Saturday's 41-34 win over Mississippi State. "He threw a pick for a touchdown, and I was waiting to see, because that was the first time something extremely negative happened to him. He never skipped a beat. He just continued on," Chizik said. "Those are the things we're looking for in our quarterback." Chizik said Trotter won over his teammates.

We'll see how this goes when BAMA and LUS d-linemen are in the vicinity.

QUOTE(#2):

What a defense LSU had last night, wow. Lee is himself, threw a pick, get him a stress situation and he will come apart, that is the only downfall for them Tigers this year. Had to go to bed, taped it and watched it this morning. Wow.

Mornin' 0-6. Defense was impressive. I'm afraid they are going to need better offense somewhere along the line.

Our D will keep us in all the games...Think we relying on them too much though

The Ducks would like to have them to rely on...along with a bunch of others!

Auburn is playing Clemson. WWWBD?*

*What Will Wild Bill Do?

Anyone have odds on how long Wild Bill's current account lasts?

September 16, 2011  10:34 AM ET

Now if Chizik can get his defense to play, Auburn might be a pretty good team. Damn, they sure gave up alot of yards to Utah State (448 yds, TOP 37.41) and Miss State (531 yds, TOP 36.07)!!! Winning by luck can go only so far!!!

QUOTE(#16):

I like what Staples said in his article...

Brockers is channeling General Neyland. Chavis and the players believe their D will improve as the season progresses.

And as for Lee, 21 of 27, 213 yrds, 1 TD & 1 INT ain't star shine, but it is getting the job done.

Now if Chizik can get his defense to play

Aubie's Achilles heel. They will lose more than one SEC game this season.
