08:04 AM ET 09.19 | Thankfully, Arian Foster had Ben Tate filling in more than capably. [Foster] finished with 10 carries for 33 yards and two receptions for 7 yards Sunday, his 2011 debut. The team announced at halftime that Foster had re-injured himself, and it was obvious by then something was amiss. ... "I pulled myself out because I felt it getting a little tight," he said. He was asked how difficult of a decision that was, and he admitted it was "tough." "But I have to realize that it's only Game 2," he added. "It's a long season, so I have to get healthy." This is now the third time something has happened to Foster's left hamstring, and it's reasonable to wonder if the organization is now more inclined to rest Foster longer to avoid future mishaps.

I did it for 15 years... won and lost in equal portions. But along the way, I started hating keeping up with it. It took away from my enjoyment of the game itself. I quit 10 years ago and don't miss it one bit.
We have a pickum league now. $100 buy in. 8 of us. Every missed pick costs a dollar. Last years' pot was over $1300. We have honest guys that pay up every week so it works. Those missed picks add up in a hurry.
It doesn't work if you have bums. So far, we have kicked out five guys in 10 years. They know up front - you don't pay and you are gone... and you lose all money you paid in. Keeps them honest in the later weeks of the season when you are behind and have no chance of catching up.
