Texans might consider sitting Foster

08:04 AM ET 09.19 | Thankfully, Arian Foster had Ben Tate filling in more than capably. [Foster] finished with 10 carries for 33 yards and two receptions for 7 yards Sunday, his 2011 debut. The team announced at halftime that Foster had re-injured himself, and it was obvious by then something was amiss. ... "I pulled myself out because I felt it getting a little tight," he said. He was asked how difficult of a decision that was, and he admitted it was "tough." "But I have to realize that it's only Game 2," he added. "It's a long season, so I have to get healthy." This is now the third time something has happened to Foster's left hamstring, and it's reasonable to wonder if the organization is now more inclined to rest Foster longer to avoid future mishaps.

Along with all the guys who drafted him for their FF leagues.

Whether it was a nagging injury or just an inflamed "I suck" gland, Foster definitely didn't do much. Tate looked much better.

One of the reasons I quit wasting my time on that crap.

Went 13-2 on my picks yesterday - far more enjoyable venture.

This is my first year getting into it... It's actual fun, Otis. You have more reason to tune in to the other games. The cpu keeps up with all the points and notes.... Pretty cool.

Dream Team. Dream on. Eagles are looking up at the Redskins.

Texans play the Saints next. If ever there was a time to bring your A game, this is it. On the other hand, without Manning the Colts will be no competition, so Houston can lose a few and still coast to a division title.

The way the Titans beat up on the Ravens, I wouldn't be so sure about that!

WTF was with the Ravens, anyway? Did they do as I suggested last week, rest their starters and backups and let the cheerleaders play? Hey, I was kidding. Poor girls.

I did it for 15 years... won and lost in equal portions. But along the way, I started hating keeping up with it. It took away from my enjoyment of the game itself. I quit 10 years ago and don't miss it one bit.

We have a pickum league now. $100 buy in. 8 of us. Every missed pick costs a dollar. Last years' pot was over $1300. We have honest guys that pay up every week so it works. Those missed picks add up in a hurry.

It doesn't work if you have bums. So far, we have kicked out five guys in 10 years. They know up front - you don't pay and you are gone... and you lose all money you paid in. Keeps them honest in the later weeks of the season when you are behind and have no chance of catching up.

That would explain everything. Anybody can score with a Baltimore girl.

15 years?! It's been around that long??

<ducks head in shame>

The pick 'em sounds fun. Plus, no point spread, right?

Of Calamine Lotion
You'll be scratchin' like a hound,
The minute you start to mess around....

Nope - straight up.

Simple and straight forward.

I know. Crazy right?

I ducked my head in shame a little over 5 years ago.

That idea sounds cool. I can see where the "bums" would break it down, but it's nice that you've maintained it for so long, with so little turnover.

Gotta have honest guys... we are fortunate.

Please rush him back to play next week. I have Tate and I want Foster's hammy to split in half.
