10:07 AM ET 09.19 | Barcelona is lining up a shock January move for Bolton defender Gary Cahill. Reports from Spain claim the England international has been targeted by Pep Guardiola who needs cover in the middle of his defense. Arsenal and Tottenham both failed with $18 million-plus bids for Cahill at the end of the summer transfer window, but with his contract ending next summer Cahill would be free to open talks with Barcelona in January.

First!

I may have to change my view of La Liga's parity. Levante is clearly a better team than Real Madrid.

Also, anyone know how Liverpool did over the weekend?

September 19, 2011  10:11 AM ET

In terms of the rumor, does this make MED happy or sad?

This would be a good move by Barcelona but I would prefer if they instead acquired Mikel Arteta. Let the lad come home already.

Thank you!!! Finally you see the light. Through 3 games Valencia leads the way and restores balance in La Liga. Meanwhile Bayern blows away the rest of the league as expected.

And Barcelona finally found somebody to take their frustrations out on.

Did I miss anything good while on vacation last week???

On another note the Gooners scored 5 goals this weekend. Too bad 2 of them were for the other team.

How good can Cahill be if teams only offered 18 millions for him. Deduct the English factor and he is worth about 8.

Bayern is only two points ahead of Bremen and Moenchengladbach.

Seriously Hudson? You know the answer is always 'no'.

If you extrapolate to a 36-game season though, this is equivalent to a 12 point gap. Fairly uncompetitive if you ask me. And that's before even adjusting for M'bachs required dance with relegation that they seem to enjoy so much.

Not panicking on Inter quite yet? Nothing seemed to work for your boys.

Bundesliga is only 34 match days though.

Oh and I'd like to add that Bayern and Neuer have now gone 750 minutes without conceding a goal. Slightly better defense than last season.
