08:03 AM ET 09.20 | Can Willis McGahee hold up if Knowshon Moreno misses more time? The Broncos certainly hope so. A hamstring injury, which Moreno has, is difficult to recover from quickly. Moreno didn't practice last week, missed the Cincinnati game and isn't expected to be full speed this week. McGahee, now in his ninth NFL season, rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries Sunday, helping the Broncos beat the Bengals 24-22 in Denver. That was McGahee's first 100-yard game since the 2009 regular-season finale, when he was with the Ravens. It was the most carries McGahee had since Dec. 16, 2007, when he gained 104 yards on 29 carries against the Dolphins.

I'm surprised Denver fans aren't calling for Tebow to play tailback. He'd be more use there.

September 20, 2011  08:17 AM ET

Put Tim back there.

September 20, 2011  08:19 AM ET

No-show Moreno has been a slight disappointment. Just slight.

September 20, 2011  08:38 AM ET

Are they sorry now that they released Laurence "Phoney" Maroney?

Nah, probably not.

HUGE! Maybe it's the O-Line or something.

Well, McGahee is durable....a little slow though.

The poor Broncos couldn't replace a groundskeeper without a media frenzy.

The fans would be happy if Tebow got that job. "Mow 'em down, Tim!" And if the grass wasn't growing, he could pray for rain.

Worth a try. May as well get some use out of him.

Make Tim the highest paid fullback in the nfl

September 20, 2011  08:55 AM ET

This team is even worse than it was last year.

That's when Ryan Clark crushed him to send the Steelers to the SB

I've been a strong proponent of putting Tebow in the backfield inside the 20. He'd be a valuable weapon in the red zone if Fox would just pull his head out of the black hole and use him.

Yes they do and so does Moreno.

I think they should go really old school... Orton, 2 RBs behind him, the FB behind them all. Run pass or punt from that same formation and swap Tebow into any spot.

Nope, just enjoy that gift of a 3rd round pick McDevastation gave you.

you obviously haven't seen them play. Their defense is much improved and when they start to get some of their injured guys back will be even better. They're not there yet, but heading in the right direction.

Knowshow came into this season talking of being stronger and quicker, but it has just been more of the same for him. Still turning the ball over, surprised when he gets past the first line of defense & unable to stay on the field. Have had high hopes for this guy & loved watching him when he was with Georgia, but I just can't bring myself to stick up for him any longer.
