08:14 AM ET 09.20 | Carl Crawford's recent "diary" entry provided an update that may have been as incendiary in his former MLB home as it was revealing. [On the boos he heard in Tampa:] "When I'm trying to work out and get better in the offseason, those haters will be on my mind. Just know they have another six years to deal with me. As far as my game is going, I'm just trying to grind it out the rest of the season. I've felt a little bit better, but it just doesn't feel the same as I normally feel." ... "If Tampa makes a miracle comeback and takes the wild card from us, I will be devastated. I definitely wouldn't want to lose to those guys and watch them get into the playoffs while we go home. That would just be devastating to me."

Carl's lack of production for the Bosox is a big factor in letting the Rays back into the race.

"Those haters?" You bolted for cash, chump. Not only that, if it weren't for Adam Dunn, you would look even worse.

Maybe if he would have showed up for the first three months of the season this wouldn't be an issue...

When I'm trying to work out and get better in the offseason, those haters will be on my mind. Just know they have another six years to deal with me.

I assume those haters are looking at his contract and stats and thinking to themselves that if they've got to deal with him for another six years, it's a lot better that he's a Red Sox than a Ray.

His OPS is .694. Compare that to the league average of .729. Given that fact, I think the Rays fans, and more importantly their pitchers, would be disappointed if they didn't have to deal with him.

It is pretty interesting that the Red Sox have to cheer for the Yanks this weekend.
