08:14 AM ET 09.20 | Seven months after he suffered a partially dislocated left shoulder, Rudy Gay has reportedly been cleared to resume full-contact basketball activities. Jeff Austin, one of Gay's representatives at Octagon Sports, said his client met with renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews in Pensacola, Fla. Andrews then declared that Gay's surgically repaired shoulder has full strength and range of motion. Gay, a 6-8 small forward, was hurt Feb. 15 in a game against Philadelphia. He underwent surgery about five weeks later. Since then, Gay has gone through extensive rehabilitation -- mostly under the radar because of the league-imposed lockout.

Lol. The real question is can Memphis afford to keep Gay, Zach and Gasol? If the answer is yes.. they are not a small market team.

If he can get adjusted to that same system that got them to the second round of the playoffs, Memphis gon be a BEAST next season providing there is one. If not he'll make a great trading piece for more talent in other areas. Mayo has been on the trading block, and if you add Rudy Gay to that, they can pick up a really nice piece to go along with Gasol, Randolph and Conley.

Glad to hear that Gay is coming close to coming back. The Grizzlies will be even stronger with him back.
