Nani better than Ronaldo at same stage?

12:07 PM ET 09.20 | Manchester United midfielder Nani's Old Trafford record stands up to Cristiano Ronaldo's at same stage of career. Nani, appearing in his 100th league game for United, at the weekend, struck with the sort of fierce long range effort reminiscent of those scored by Ronaldo in his Old Trafford heyday. Comparisons between the pair are inevitable. Nani, like his compatriot, is both a creator and scorer of spectacular goals -- 31 in 161 appearances since moving from Sporting Lisbon in 2007. Furthermore, Ronaldo at the same stage of his Old Trafford career, had scored 19 league goals -- the same as Nani. However, Nani has the edge in terms of creativity, with 34 assists in that time compared to Ronaldo's 12.

What is the Nani vs. Ronaldo scoreline in tagging supermodels though....

September 20, 2011  12:44 PM ET

The only problem being that when CR7 was Nani's age, he already had 84 goals and had eclipsed Nani on the 'wants to entertain' meter which is the best measure for determining who is a better player.

I thought we had already decided that Nani was at least 4th greatest player of all time after Messi, Pato and Eden Hazard?

I went to see Lion King 3D last night. Great movie obviously but the "3D" really didn't add much and wasn't particularly well done. I share this because, yes, I assume there were others who were thinking of going to see this.

The level of obnoxious isn't there for Nani, but he still makes me angry every game.

My wife said just the opposite. She even said that we should buy a 3D tv just to get this and see it. She loved the 3d aspect of it...

I don't think anyone on this board is going to see the Lion King 3D for any reason other than, "My wife/girlfriend really wants to see it."

Well certainly 3D is better than 2D and it was enjoyable but paying $17 for a movie I have already seen, the enhancements just didn't really seem particularly worth it to me.

Did you update your Amazon review to include the 3-D?

Kids, I have kids.
Ok, I love Lion King. One of my favorite animated movies.

Fire away, I have taken worse.

I hear this b/c Nani gave Ashley Cole fits like Ronaldo never did, but mind you all Ronaldo has not been in the league for 3 seasons now. And cole is not that great.

September 20, 2011  01:04 PM ET

the correct answer is to the topic is unless Nani gets 43 goals this year NO. Nani is for one, older than Cristiano was at the same point of his time at United. Last season would've been the equivalent to Cris' breakout 2007 year when he scored 23 goals and he only scored 10.

You know what.... final verdict NO. I don't see a 2008 redux happening with Nani. Now with Wayne..... maybe.

Limited as the anonymity is on this board, I wouldn't say my online presence is a perfect reflection of my at-home personality.
