07:46 AM ET 09.21 | Everton will offer David Moyes a huge new contract, as they look for him to commit his long-term future to Goodison. Moyes currently has a deal that will take him through to 2013, but Everton chairman Bill Kenwright wants the Scotsman to be a key part of the club's future. Talks are likely to proceed with the hope that Moyes will agree a three and half year extension, to take him through to 2015.

You can't buy mediocrity. You have to have the right people to achieve it.

David Moyes definitely deserves better than he gets... I kinda hope he tests the water a little...
...and DC peeps... have you seen the Facebook page for the Westport Soccer Stadium & Hotel? It's... rather impressive. I'd have to say if the state of Maryland and/or Baltimore approve the funding officially... United is as good as gone.

I like Moyes. I think he is a very good manager that has done a great job considering what he has had to work with. Like Tony, I think he should try to move on and see what he can get. If he can't get more money out of Everton, then he should go elsewhere. Everton are going to need a new owner. Hopefully it won't be a rich Middle Eastern millionaire 'cause that would make Liverpool the second best team in the city.

Arsenal won their 3rd round Carling Cup game yesterday, while I only saw the highlights I am concerned that they gave up another header goal. When will this be addressed? At this level of soccer do they have specialized coaches such as in the NFL? If so, they need to fire the Def. Cordinator equivalent.

Just looked it up. Naice. At this point, I really wouldn't hold it against DCU if they were to pack up their bags and go elsewhere.

"To me Zanetti represents the joy of living, the joy of making football your job every morning. He is the smile, the life force, the passion for training, the good cheer for everyone who works with him. To me Javier Zanetti is all of these things, and he is a man that I'm happy to say will be a friend forever." - Jose Mourinho.

Does anyone else see any irony in the fact that the New York Giants defensive players were faking injuries on Monday night and it was called a "veteran injury" and a smart play. But if a soccer player goes down than the casual NFL fan will call them all kinds of names.
