08:03 AM ET 09.21 | Veteran safety Darren Sharper reportedly worked out for Broncos officials Tuesday at Dove Valley. But this was more of a check-up than an official tryout for the 35-year-old five-time Pro Bowler. After a stellar 2009 season for the Saints, Sharper had microfracture surgery on his knee before the 2010 season and played sparingly last year. The Broncos are set at safety right now, but wanted to check in on Sharper's health now, just in case. Sharper played for current Broncos defensive coordinator Dennis Allen in New Orleans.

They are but, surprisingly, they are set at safety with the rookie and Dawkins. I don't understand this.

Triple threat man. He can sell hot dogs, beer or programs.

They had Sharper running hills. The first time he crossed to the other side of one, they all got the point and went home.

You missed the debacle where the text of the Gabbert story was about Donovan McNabb giving a "win one for the Gipper" speech to his new teammates in the Frozen North.

They should work out David Garrard too just to check in

Is it true that Jeff George turned them down?

Set at Safety or not...

If he had anything left or was fully recovered, they'd be having a press conference right now...

At 35, they didn't bring in for a look toward the future.

This Non-Official stuff is just a nice way to say 'he ain't there yet'.

Yeah, they changed it made my comment look silly.

This isn't something to even comment about. Wait....oops.

As a Broncos fan, I probably have a right to say, you know things are bad for the defense when they start recruiting at the retirement home.

Next thing you'll read on FN is Elway has sent the jet to Hattiesburg.
