08:11 AM ET 09.21 | Among J.J. Redick's greatest concerns these days is working himself into the shape of a linebacker. [Redick] is eager to find out if he has recovered completely from surgery in late May to repair two muscle tears in his lower abdomen. The Orlando Magic guard says he feels great, and he's gone full-speed with his workout regimen for a couple of months now. ... "[As] someone who kind of trains and always has a plan for things, it's weird to make a plan and have a training program and then just kind of never know when it's going to end. It could end abruptly or it could go on and on and on. So I hope I end up not looking like a linebacker. That aspect of it is very frustrating."

Oh JJ, you need to work on defense. dook is suppose to be predicated on being defensive minded. I guess you missed the memo. Jacking up 3's and being a liability on the other end of court isn't going to help Dwight win a belt in Orlando.

QUOTE(#15):

This is a intelligent gunslinger being poorly used by Fatso Van Bundy. JJ should seek a trade to a team that can intelligently use him and get the best out of him. JJ would work very hard to succeed I'm sure, but as long as he plays for Fatso he'll struggle and underachieve.....this is sad.

How do you really feel about Stan van Gundy?

QUOTE(#11):

3/4 s of the guards in the NBA are frequently undressed by the likes of Kobe and Wade...besides...no one expects JJ to be a star,,he just needs to spot up when dwight passes it out of the post to him

Exactly...its hard to stop great offensive players with the rules being they way they are. He works hard and gives tremendous effort every trip.

Yes I am an admitted DUKIE but I never thought he'd be a great pro. He is what he is, he doesnt try to do more and you have a respect a man that plays within his own game and plays a support role well.

QUOTE(#9):

Of course he does. He's Caucasion.

I can't believe that coming from you. What an ignorant thing to say.
