07:59 AM ET 09.22 | There is a clock ticking in Miami. This might be the most important coaching week of Tony Sparano's life. His Dolphins future is wavering and could depend on Miami winning during this commencing three-game road trip. ... Sparano won't survive coming home 0-5, which will loom as a real possibility without a win this Sunday. This I believe, but it is a bit more than just a sense or gut feeling. A friend who is close to Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, the same person who told me (accurately) that Bill Parcells was enamored of Pat White and planned to draft him, heard Ross express frustration after this past Sunday's latest home loss over how "the team is not holding up its end of the bargain."

The clock was ticking last year when they talk about going after Horseface.

the words "future" and "Miami" do not belong together in this context

In the immortal words of Dandy Don ... Turn out the lights, the party's over!

The only mystery here is whether he gets axed before Haley.

"Tony, I hate to have to give you an ultimatum, but you MUST lose to Cleveland this week. Kansas City is nipping at our heels, and they're really focused on this Suck for Luck thing. So, if you beat the Browns, you'd better polish up that resume."

Theywill lose at CLE, at SD, at Jets and they will be off and running in the suck for Luck sweepstakes.

The Colts might beat them both out for Luck.

The Dolphins need to open the old wallet a little wider.

They can fill it back up with the money they paid Reggie.

Luck might petition the NCAA for an extra year of eligibility if Miami wins this sweepstakes. Or he can have an impromptu press conference in which he announces he's taking his talents to Toronto Canada.

The Reggie Bush signing told me everything I need to know about how they evaluate talent in Miami. Style over substance.

Pack your bags Tony. Bush's got the car warmed up for you

Letting Drew Brees get away when they had the chance to stabilize their QB position for 10 years told me everything I needed to know.

Possibly the most overrated coach/GM in the history of football. What has he won since a certain hooded D-coordinator left his side?
