08:30 AM ET 09.23 | A Thursday night conference call may have raised just as many questions as it answered in the case of the Big 12's long-term future. [There] was a mixed message on the biggest news of the night. According to the Oklahoma president, David Boren, the Big 12 leaders agreed to a six-year deal to pool their most lucrative television rights, known as a grant of rights. The agreement means that if a Big 12 member jumps to another league in the next six years, the conference would be able to maintain the television rights to that member's most lucrative games. While one Big 12 official called it "an agreement in principle," others said Boren's announcement seemed premature.

Staples described it best.

"The Big 12 is the type of family where the reunions end with someone waving a knife and screaming "I'll cut all of you!" as the police pull into the driveway. In the SEC, they spend their family reunions in Destin, Fla., counting money by the Gulf of Mexico and then watching their wives spend the windfall at the outlet mall across the street from the hotel."

6th was a little too loud for my taste last night. Camped out in a quieter sports bar

Boy, O'brien really shot himself in the foot with his hardline stand regarding Wilson's baseball interest this past spring.

NC State's loss is Wisconsin's gain.

I was giving him and FJJ a hard time last night on the other thread and he said he had moved to 5th. There are some joints on other streets in the 6th street area of Austin.
