Who will show up for players union meeting?

08:02 AM ET 09.24 | Last week, a couple days after one of the disappointing negotiating sessions between the owners and players, there was a players meeting in Las Vegas. One where they preached unity. But only about 40 players -- about 10 percent of the union membership -- showed up. Maybe Miami and it's nightlife will be a better draw. Union president Derek Fisher and director Billy Hunter must think so, because Miami will be home to a players union meeting next Tuesday. The meeting will update the players on how there has been almost no movement in the negotiations. Another poor turnout by the players will turn a few heads among the owners, although I'm not sure it really makes a difference in the big picture.

At this point, hiring homeless people to do their job seems like an upgrade. But let's leave politics to the people leas qualified than us and continue sports talk. The lockout is going to drag on, the players refuse to give a single dime back when realistically every paycheck from the owners, to the gms, to the players will be taking a hit and the players have to understand that means them too. Since the NBA players are nothing but a bunch of spoiled, arrogant, selfish children let's talk a sport that's playing Otis.... What do you give the cowboys chances this week with romo hurt? And secondly, do my panthers get their first win with cam this week vs jax?
