Time to Ponder in Minnesota

08:05 AM ET 09.26 | The Vikings have now been outscored in the second half by more than 60 points in three losses, which isn't sitting well in the Twin Cities. Fans jeering, players screaming on the sideline, coaches making irrational decisions, players committing destructive penalties, and a proud group of veterans collapsing in the second half for the third consecutive week while their owners beg for a new stadium. ... While most players and coaches, after the game, argued they should stay the course, that they're close to winning games and salvaging hope, history suggests they're just as likely to fund their stadium with a lucky lottery ticket as they are to make the playoffs. So it's time for the Vikings to start thinking of "Ponder" as a noun, not a verb.

Damn... Who's McNabb going to blame for this move?

Oh... Nice seeing him wear a wrist band yesterday, by the way.l

Don't stop with the QB...

Time to clear out the sewage and start replacing under-performing players across the board.

September 26, 2011  08:10 AM ET

I said this last week. It will make no difference though. welcome to the new Detroit.

September 26, 2011  08:13 AM ET

It'll all be better after the move to LA.

The time to Ponder was in training camp. Where did you think you were going with McNabb? L.A.?

Agreed. Keep Jared Allen and AP and sweep out the rest of the dust.

I would Ponder why they only handed the ball to A.P 6 times after halftime. Dear Leslie, the longer your offense is on the field means the less time their offense is on the field.

Time to trade AP and his $100mm for a Hershel Walker-like deal.

September 26, 2011  08:38 AM ET

McNabb is only there to give Ponder time to learn the game. No one expected them to be in first place. It's a rebuilding year. First, rebuild the roof. Next, rebuild the team. Finally, burn your bridges behind you on the way to LA.

I didn't turn it on until the second half and my wife who is an Iggles fan was watching with me....after we watched McNabb hit his receivers in the feet three straight times her comment was- "same ol' mcnabb, different color uniform." When he gets in pressure situation his accuracy and poise are no where to be found. Despite that however I don't know that I would want to throw Ponder into that position either....bad O-line in that division might get your QB killed, especially a rookie who holds onto the ball too long.

I had the exact same thought.

The season is shot already ... might as well throw the rookie out there.

The MN State Patrol just closed the 1_35 Bridge. Not due to traffice but there were too many Viking fans on the railing threatening to jump.

Leslie Frazier showed no urgency after the first, second, third game! Leslie doesn't know the basic statistics!

How did he get his job - many Minnesotans (including Bachmann, Pawlenty, etc.) want to know? :)

Frazier = Tice II = dead weight with excuses after excuses

Allen definitely didn't swoon in the fourth quarter. That left tackle couldn't have stopped him with a taser.

Great come back for the LIONS.Now we can only hope and pray that the vikings are the new doormat of the leauge.

September 26, 2011  09:12 AM ET

The Pack doesn't play Detroit until week 12. That's a long time to wait to see who's the Alpha Dog. The week 17 game looms large in the NFC North.
