08:20 AM ET 09.27 | The door to Pac-12 expansion is closed -- for now. [That] doesn't necessarily mean the league won't entertain offers in the future. Oregon State president Edward Ray said he would personally take look at anything that made sense, even though there was a strong sentiment among the Pac-12 schools that expansion wasn't in the league's immediate best interests. "You know, it's like politics where you say 'Never say never,'" Ray said. ... "I don't know. But I do know I could not speak for others. I'm an economist, so it's always like, 'So, what are we talking about here?' That's the devil in me. But I know that some of my colleagues said 'You know what? I don't care what any of the facts are, I don't want anything to change.'"

Leach I'm sure this will be Riley's last year, why don't you send your resume to the Oregon State Athletic Department department.

I thought it was one of his assistants that did it.<wink wink>You SEC guys need to teach your new coaches how to cover up the cheating and payoffs a little better. Not surprisingly the coaches you hire from within have the experience to know how do it. Better get someone to sheep town before the enter the conference next year.

apparently UTK can't even pay players to come play for them though.

Kiffin personally? Report I read said Garza.

I'm sure Kiffin had NO knowledge of it happening.

Request reimbursement for the cost of the Seastrunk plane tickets from Oregon. Then they can request reimbursement from Baylor for Seastrunk's other expenses.

How does the Pac plan to deal with schools' 3rd tier rights? Are they gonna be assigned to the conference and incorporated into the new Pac TV network system? What does the Big 10 do? I see where some of its schools (Wisky, Iowa, Illinois) have revenue from 3rd tier rights. Are any other conferences looking at the issue? One of the attorneys I deal with is a North Carolina grad. He says if Texas has opened a can of worms that results in North Carolina having to share 3rd tier revenues with Duke, he's gonna stop speaking to me.

Hell, JRM, I wish the damned attorneys I work with would stop speaking to me. That would be a good thing. I don't see a down side to that! lol

Try hot dogs n hookers.. works for the whorns....

Earl Campbell's hot links make for some good hot dogs. (Southern version of Wisky brats!) Earl could slip them to them under the table.

I'm not sure which former UTx player has a brothel to supply the hookers though.
