08:01 AM ET 09.29 | Cedric Benson, suspended? [Benson] will be in the Bengals lineup Sunday against Buffalo. After that, no one knows. "I'm playing this week. I know I am," Benson said. "We (Benson and NFL officials) had a good meeting [Tuesday]. I had a lot of facts ... and now we'll hope for the best outcome and see what happens." Coach Marvin Lewis said, "My interpretations of things is that if we don't hear something generally by Tuesday that we're going to presume that everything is going to go status quo. Otherwise they do put you at a disadvantage, but we're prepared either way." For those expecting an expedited decision following Tuesday's appeals hearing in New York, that might not happen.

The Bengals should stop wearing stripes. It becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy.

You'd think they'd have an express lane for Bengals by now.

The shock of it all!

If the players union had any stones they could keep Goodell and the league out of the players personal business and the only suspensions would be for steroids and fighting on the field. Instead the Union allowed morals clauses and crap like that into the contracts and now we get to hear about all the BS that goes with it.

Lockout -> Lockup.

The government needs to have more effective summer jobs programs to keep at-risk pro athletes occupied when there are no training camps. And I'm even more concerned about the crime wave we're going to have if the NBA season is cancelled.

Do the Bengal have an attorney on retainer? I bet he gets a nice fruit basket at Christmas time.

The Bengals sent their fruit to New England this year.
