Howe livid over 'Moneyball' portrayal

08:09 AM ET 09.29 | Art Howe is more than a little upset with his portrayal in Moneyball, which became clear in a recent Q&A. Q: Do you feel that this (movie and book) affects your name in baseball circles? A: It certainly doesn't help it the way I was portrayed. I think the book hurt me and now the movie. ... I've spent my whole career trying to build a good reputation and be a good baseball man and someone who people like to play for and all of the above. Then in two hours, people who don't know me -- and Brad Pitt's a big name, people are going to see his movies -- and all these people across the country are going to go in and get this perception of me that's totally unfair and untruthful. So I'm very upset.

With only 4 people responding, and one probably spam, it's safe to say that no body cares buddy!

Art Who?

/I keed

September 29, 2011  10:26 AM ET

Is he mostly mad because they got PSH to play him?

September 29, 2011  10:27 AM ET

I'd be upset to if I were portrayed by a repulsive and nasty looking Seymour Hoffman. He looked absolutely pale and sick. I guess he prefered to be played by a fat Bruce Willis. But hey, nice 20 game winning streak anyway

Good thing that they did not make a movie about his tenure as the Mets manager.

September 29, 2011  12:08 PM ET

A movie about stats, which i like, starring that beefcake pansy boy Pitt!?! Pass.

Mr. Howe- Those who know you, know the truth, those who don't---well in the general scheme of things---don't particularly matter.

A movie like this is rather unfair definately. It's a story told from one person's perspective in print form, which got handed over to Hollywood for their own bastardization. Hollywood tells stories and even movies "based on a true story" can actually vary quite a bit form reality.

You're not the first person that has been portrayed inaccurately on the silver screen, Art. Don't sweat it. You were a fine player and have been a fine manager/coach forever. This movie doesn't change that.

WOW, do you work in the movies? You know sooo much about the industry. Tell us more, what's it really like?
