It was a broad-ranging conversation at a time when Francona has had plenty to process. ... He remained unsure of whether he wanted to manage again in the 2012 season. "I don't know, guys. I really don't know," said Francona. "I certainly would love to stay in the game. I have no ambition to ever leave the game. ... I don't want to try to manage in the wrong situation. That wouldn't be good for me. To manage again, you have to have someone think you're worthy to manage. That may not happen."

I would have to think that any team that is or will be looking for a manager this off season will want to talk to Francona first. Seems more like the ball is in his court in terms of naming his price and looking for the right situation.

I dont seem him taking just any position just to manage, ala Eric Wedge.
