The best QB prospect in a decade

08:24 AM ET 10.06 | Andrew Luck returned to the NCAA simply because he wanted to, and yet -- with Stanford's 4-0 record, the highest passing efficiency rating in his conference and 11 touchdowns against a single interception -- he has managed to increase his value as an NFL prospect. There isn't much the guy can't do. He deciphers information extremely well, is coordinated in the pocket, accurate delivering the football and is a much better athlete than given credit for when asked to create with his legs. Overall, he's about as safe a quarterback prospect that there has been in the past ten years.

I like the guy but I wish they would quit setting him up with so much "can't miss" talk. Almost opposite of $cam Newton.

Well, he does show a lot of promise and has smarts too.

DC is right-if he doesn't pass for 3x as many TDs as INTs and 400 yards a game as a rookie people will be disappointed. That's just silly.

He looks good now, and I hope he continues to. But in this world you are only as good as your last game in certain circles.

Talented and smart kid and looks to be a pretty safe bet, but it's going to come down to what type of system that is run by the team that drafts him and the talent around him.

If he doesn't have a line to give him time or the receivers to get open, then you could have Montana at Qb and it wouldn't make a difference.

Props though for staying in college and leaving a lot of money on the table by not going early.

I hope he does well.

Dont blame it all on Davis.. Mack is part of it...

Yeah, he shouldn't have let Davis talk him into that one.

QUOTE(#15):

Was Davis the problem for the OL and RBs as well?

As you pointed out, the ultimate responsibility rests with Mack IMHO. He did address it but reluctantly.

...and with the resources available at UTx, there is absolutely no excuse for having anything less than top notch assistants.

QUOTE(#13):

But I agree... Luck is the best Pro QB prospect and its not even close...

Did you see that one handed catch he made along the sidelines? IMO, luck will be a good pro QB, but he still must go to the right team to develop.
