08:01 AM ET 10.07 | No one involved really wanted to dwell on the Julius Peppers hit that knocked Matthew Stafford out for six weeks last season. Neither [Stafford nor Jim Schwartz] said they watched it more than the standard amount of times; Once in film review the day after the game, and again during preparation for the second matchup with Bears later in the season. "We don't obsess over things like that," Schwartz said. Add Peppers to the list of people not interested in re-watching the hit that knocked Stafford out of action for six weeks. "To be honest with you, it really doesn't get me excited to see anybody get injured," Peppers said. "It's not something I take a lot of pride in, the fact that I hit him and injured his shoulder last year."

It's part of the risk of playing the game. Peppers is reacting like a professional.

Peppers plays the game hard, but I don't think he plays to intentionally injure people.

Pep learned well @ UNC. Being a professional on the playing field is part of the Tar HEELS' lesson plan.

See that's the right attitude. Professionals going about their business. No Johnny Law handing out fines, no malice of forethought, and most of all no sissies complaining about it.
