The NFL's new MVP

08:06 AM ET 10.07 | Move over, Tom Brady. I can't remember the last time I even considered answering the question about the NFL's best player with any name other than Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. But, after watching Aaron Rodgers against the Broncos, there is a new name on top of my list. Tom Brady was the unanimous MVP last year and I was one of the voters. But, as brilliant as Brady continues to be, Rodgers is the Super Bowl champion and is more mobile than Brady. ... Last week Rodgers set an NFL record with four touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns. He made one poor decision the entire game. His release is the fastest in the NFL. I found myself repeatedly uttering the phrase, "how do you cover THAT?"

Not, Bro.

Brett who?

October 7, 2011  08:10 AM ET

Probably is the best right now, but the undisputed MVP, in it's truest sense, is obviously Manning. That's a bad team without him.

Because he beat the Broncos you want to hand him the MVP? have the standards fallen that low? Nice!

Welcome to the party. It's been going on since the playoffs started last season.

He's already have a great year, but a Pepper's or Suh Hit could fix that!

October 7, 2011  08:19 AM ET

It looks like Rodgers has a stalker at NBC.

Cool so after 4 weeks lets hand him the award. Brady tore up Miami & San Diego & Rodgers tore up the Saints & Broncos
I'd say it is about even

Best QB in the NFL right now.

October 7, 2011  08:26 AM ET

This one is a no brainer.

October 7, 2011  08:27 AM ET

Nobody cares who the MVP is after week 4. Lets delay this debate until December.

October 7, 2011  08:27 AM ET

Like everything else, wait until the season is over before you start handing out trophies. Running up stats against the Bronkeys proves very little.

I like Rodgers, and I think he's a legitimate candidate for MVP. But, let's take it all the way to the Superbowl with the Rodgers-Brady comparison this year, OK?

October 7, 2011  08:28 AM ET

Agreed. Favre, on the other hand, still thinks he should be the MVP.

But Wilbon and Kornheiser have gotta feed their families!

Hmmmm if MVP equates to one and done in the play offs does he want it?
