With his team about to open the 2011-12 season Friday here against Buffalo, [Bob Murray] was blunt in his assessment of the Ducks' chances. They begin and end with Getzlaf and Perry. "They are still learning," Murray said. "They are still young. It's a maturation process for them. But they have to understand that this team will follow the example they lead with. ... Getzlaf, Perry and Bobby Ryan make up the Ducks' top line, and Coach Randy Carlyle admitted, "The fortunes of our hockey club sometimes ride on them too much, and it's too much pressure."

The expectations for hockey teams in Southern California don't match the ones you see in other NHL cities. Perry and Getzlaf just need to give the ol' 110% on the ice then enjoy themselves off of it.

Perry and Getzlaf are my favourite forwards in the NHL.
When Burke knew he was leaving the Ducks, he should have done some stupid trade. Like Perry and Getzlaf for Sundin or Kaberle or something.
He should have brought them over with him. I know he tried to bring Ryan over, but that didn't work.
