Luongo's follies deflating Canucks

08:23 AM ET 10.07 | The season opener behind them, with a win no less, Vancouver may rest easy knowing it can win without firing on all cylinders -- chief among them Roberto Luongo. The Canucks were missing two or three of their better players and many of those on the ice performed so poorly the wags watching were curious as to which member of last year's finalists was furthest below par. ... Clearly [Luongo] was in contention for "furthest below form" with his two ridiculous whiffs that have to take the starch out of any team, the peaks and valleys with this guy becoming almost absurd. Now the air is beginning to come out of this team every time he fans one and that's not a good sign.

My thoughts exactly.
The NHL is turned on it's head. (pun intended)
Matt Cooke's the leading scorer.
The Leafs are undefeated.
James Reimer is the shutout leader.
But at least the Province and FN are normal.
Canuck eh?

I'm going home to sell all my stuff, since evidently the Rapture is coming. I'll use that money to invest in the stock market. Apple stock is down, maybe I'll start there and make myself a Rapture playlist.

Actually it was Pittsburgh who wasn't firing on all cylinders and missing some key players. Besides Sid, Orpik was out too. The Pens got outplayed for most of the night and they should have lost. Bobby Lou kept the Pens in the game and then. Malkin's shoot out goal was hysterical. The picture of Bobby on his stomach in the crease and Malkin holding the puck was priceless.
How about the thug Cooke? 2 goals! He's a changed man I tell you. He has seen the light and has forsaken his evil ways.
Anybody hear anything about Staal?

He's still out after his brother knocked him out. Is that the one you're talking about? ;-)

LMAO! You're right..............he's the front runner for the Lady Byng as well as the scoring title. Of course Luongo won't be in the nets EVERY night! :-)

Pens' defense left a LOT to be desired. Keep in mind, Tanger was out of position, and everyone was getting some rust off. When Orpik comes back, it will make the defense better...a bit. Too many turnovers, etc.
Staal was dehydrated. Umm...what's up with that ****? Long season, dude. Take off the dress.
Cooke manages to hit clean, and score goals, he will prove everyone wrong, including me.

Cooke focused strictly on his offensive abilities this offseason instead of being a ****. He said he plans on scoring 50-60 goals.

He looked good in one game, but let's not get carried away yet. For whatever it's worth, i hope he proves us all wrong. Cuz the flip side is he hurts someone again. Hopefully he has changed his ways permanently. Time to earn that "A" and the pay raise.

Luongo is pretty awful. I feel bad for Canucks fans, they have to deal with him till what 2022? I dont konw why he keeps coming up in top 5 goalie conversations.
