At long last, it's Tebow time

08:03 AM ET 10.10 | Dreams do come true in Denver. For all his nonchalance and gritty character, Kyle Orton is human. And the human condition can take only so much. As time went on, it appeared the "Tebow thing" started suffocating Orton's ability to play quarterback. "I'm a P.E. major so I really don't know about all that," Broncos coach John Fox said. "You'd have to ask Kyle." ... Fox did not make it official during his postgame news conference that Tebow would be the Broncos' starting quarterback from this point on. But he likely will make it official Tuesday. This wasn't bowing to public pressure. This was Fox sticking with Orton until Orton lost the job.

This guy deserves his shot and Orton should be traded for offensive line.

He looked better than Orton.

October 10, 2011  08:10 AM ET

But mercifully, no Tebow finger picture this morning.

I don't know that the Tebow "thing" suffocated Orton as much as his averageness.

Play Tebow. If he plays himself off the field, get into the Luck sweepstakes. Why is this so hard? Tebow is going to give max effort.

We got to see a few minutes at the end of the Denver game because it ran longer than the Pats game yesterday. If nothing else, Tebow is entertaining. I got the feeling that the rest of the team stepped up their game to support him. If that's what this "leadership" thing is about, he's got it.

Yeah, they lost, but if the Hail Mary had been caught, it would have been magic in Denver. Or perhaps Divine Intervention. I dunno.

Jests?

Fox is a P.E. major? What the hell guidance counselor? you told me that was never an option. Now I'm stuck with this stupid business degree

Dolphins? Henne's out. Seahawks? TJack's out.

I guess Denver finally figured out that Tebow can do no more harm than Orton.

It's a case of the tallest dwarf. Neither looked very good.

Yeah, yeah, I know, Tebow has "it". He can't pass well, can't hit the open receiver, lacks arm strength and his throws look like a wounded duck, but he has "it".

October 10, 2011  08:55 AM ET

Yes, finally!

October 10, 2011  08:55 AM ET

Tebow sucks, he is the next Matt Leinart. Go ahead and start him Mr. Fox, get it out of your system so you can start Orton again. Then draft a QB next season.

Shouldn't he be going to Hell for screwing up a Hail Mary?

Something About Hail Mary? Nah, he's not Catholic. Admission rules to Heaven are worse than the IRS code.

Maybe only Catholics are allowed a Hail Mary?

Where is Tebow Time? Haven't seen him post in a while.

October 10, 2011  09:10 AM ET

Well, here's your chance, Tebow. Don't fudge this up.

October 10, 2011  09:11 AM ET

He wasn't that bad.
