08:28 AM ET 10.10 | Perhaps Urban Meyer should avoid Happy Valley as a way to avoid speculation he might make it a home. Citing health reasons, the 46-year-old Meyer stepped down as Florida's coach at the end of the 2011 season, which ended with the Gators' 37-24 win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl. Since that time, a popular scenario is that Meyer would sit out a year, enjoy the less stressful world of broadcasting, and then accept the Penn State job if [Joe Paterno] retired at the end of this season, marking the end of Paterno's latest contract. The scenario will last throughout this season and beyond. If Penn State qualifies for a bowl, Paterno will be coaching at the age of 85 (his birthday is Dec. 20).

Joe Pa is not going anywhere unless he wants to. The president and the athletic director are afraid of him.

Meyer would bring in the recruits Penn State needs. I love Joe Pa but his time has come.

If he wants to Joe Pa should stay until his picture is on a jelly jar. And then for 3 more years after that.

All I know is, if Urban Meyer is faced with the choice to coach at Ohio State or Penn State, and he chooses Penn, he's a fool.

Absolutely. He can get tattoos and walkin around money for scholarships there.
