Urlacher rips Bears defense

He should RIP the coordinator!!!

Lions / 49ers next weekend.


Anyone have this being a fairly big game at the beginning of the season?

The imply he "ripped the defense" makes it sound like he's not part of them.

I don't think the Lions are REALLY that good, I think the BEARS are really that BAD!! I bet the 49'ers beat 'em!

After seeing the game last night, I understand first-hand what all the Bears fans are complaining about in these threads. No protection for Cutler, and no decent receivers. The defensive lapses were a real shock, though.

You gotta understand the Lions are on fire right now... Megatron is almost unstoppable, and the rest of the team are playing with great confidence. The Bears are an average team at best, but any team would have had problems with Detroit on Monday night.

There were plays where the Bears offensive line looked worse than my grandson's varsity O-Line.

They need to get in sync in Chicago, it's already been a long season for them and it's only been 5 weeks.

Agree totally

He then described the 88-yard touchdown run by Jahvid Best. "The quarterback took a snap, he handed it to the guy, and he ran 88 yards without being touched," Urlacher said.

He's describing the play that Lance Briggs blew coverage on that play and bit on the outside and missed the tackle. That should really help..........NOT!!

The Lions look like the real deal to me (which after over a decade of top 5 or top 10 draft picks they damn well should be by now)... But I think a ton rests on the health of Stafford, he goes down again and this team likely will as well.

I'm no Jay Cutler fan, but I have to say I was very impressed with his play in the first half. His line was doing their best to get him killed, but he stayed poised and on target. He and Forte are the only Bears who looked to be trying.

I'd say both, but the Bears offensive line is truly offensive.

And in a related story, the Bears O-line was just flagged for a false start penalty..........

It seems to me that BU makes his monthly (or weekly) rant, it's usually about the Park and Rec's job of the turf, the Defense or the price of a beer at soldier.
