03:04 PM ET 10.11 | Given the protracted on-off saga surrounding the Haye-Wladimir Klitschko fight in the summer, there is every reason to suspect that Haye could be dangling the carrot to Klitschko to finalise contract talks, with Haye's team having been in negotiations with K2 management, the Ukrainian's handlers, for several weeks. Bluff and counter-bluff have been employed by Haye throughout his meandering, self-promoted career at world level. Following through with what Haye has stated dozens of times, in reference to his walking away from the sport, comes as no surprise. Although the entire Haye camp remained tight-lipped on Tuesday while the Klitschkos's manager Bernd Boente insisted that a fight between the two men is "still very much on".
